It appears that the tradition of having Stan Lee cameo in Marvel films will continue with Kenneth Branagh’s “Thor.” For those not too comic book nerdy, Stan Lee is the man credited with creating or co-creating many of Marvel’s most popular superheroes from Spider-Man, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, The Avengers, to the X-Men. If you follow Stan on Twitter, you’ll know that he’s tweeted about appearing in the new Thor, now thanks to a scooper from fanboyweb we get a description of the scene:
Thor’s hammer ( Mjolnir ) is found in the middle of a road somewhere inside a crater by the army. The Army try’s to remove it but can’t because it’s way too heavy. They decide to bring in a truck to help. The army men tie Thor’s hammer to the back of the truck with chains hoping to pull it of the road. The truck driver accelerates to pull the Hammer. The back half of the truck falls apart from the front and the front keeps going. Finally, there’s a focus on the driver it revealed to be Comic Legend Stan Lee.
Most of Lee’s cameo are lighthearted and quick, so this sounds just like a scene he’d be in. I guess we can all find out on May 6, 2011.
