It’s a good time to be Chris Hemsworth. Not only is he getting rave reviews for his work in the new Ghostbusters film, but he’s filming Thor: Ragnarok, and it’s just been announced that he’s getting a beefy part in the next chapter of Star Trek.

AS you probably remember, Hemsworth briefly played the father of Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk in the first new Star Trek film. As you also know, he died pretty early on, setting Kirk on the path that eventually led him to be the captain of the USS Enterprise. So, check out this tag line for the next movie in the series:

In the next installment of the epic space adventure, Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk will cross paths with a man he never had a chance to meet, but whose legacy has haunted him since the day he was born: his father.

Does this mean time travel? Does it mean ghosts? Maybe parallel dimensions? I’m going for the first or last option. It’s probably the latter, as they’ve already shown that they have no problem messing with time lines and dimensions.
