When you’ve got the biggest movie of the year coming out, it only makes sense that you attach as many of the biggest movie trailers for the next year on to it so you can get your biggest bang for the buck.
We already had heard that the recently revealed trailers for Captain America: Civil War and Batman v Superman would be making an appearance, but THR is reporting that we’ll also be getting our first look at the third Star Trek film, Star Trek: Beyond, attached to the new Star Wars film. It makes sense. JJ Abram’s Bad Robot is producing the Trek film, and Simon Pegg, who has a role in the Star Wars, is both starring in the new Trek film as well as serving as the script’s co-writer.
That’s not all, though. We’ll also be getting trailers for The Huntsman’s Winter War, X-Men: Apocalypse, Independence Day: Resurgence, The Jungle Book, and Finding Dory. So, basically, expect 30-45 minutes of trailers before the film actually starts.
