Star Trek Soars… Almost As High As Wolverine

Just in case you hadn’t figured it by now, Star Trek absolutely trounced the competition this weekend at the box office with a womping seventy six million dollars. The movie, which seems to be universally liked by all but the most fervent of trekkie, is already in reach of being the highest grossing Star Trek Film in history. That said, the film didn’t quite reach the numbers that X-Men Origins: Wolverine did last weekend at eighty six million dollars.

Coming in at #3 was Ghosts of Girlfriends past followed by Obsessed and 17 Again to round out the top 5.
