‘Star Wars: Ahsoka’ Finds its Live Action Sabine Wren

One of the big questions about the upcoming Ahsoka Tano series on Disney+ has finally been answered. Official casting has been announced for the role of Sabine Wren. According to Deadline, Natasha Liu Bordizzo will take on the role of the Mandalorian with a penchant for art and making things go boom.

While there’s no word on how big the role will be in the new series, it could be a major one. At the end of Star Wars Rebels, It’s Ahsoka and Sabine who take off for the outer rim in search of Ezra Bridger. So, at the very least, it’s plausible that the two could have been partners for several years when we meet up with them in Ahsoka.

Bordizzo first appeared as Snow Vase in Netflix’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny. She also starred on the streamer’s series The Society and in the 2019 film Crazy About You. Her feature credits also include The Voyeurs, Detective Chinatown 2, Guns Akimbo and Hotel Mumbai. She will next be seen in Day Shift.

Ahsoka is set to start filming in March of 2022, so don’t expect to see it pop up in your streaming queue until at least early 2023.
