STAR WARS EPISODE VII Production Start Date Revealed

Collider got some new info on the status of Star Wars Episode VII, but Latino Review has done them one better and pulled the actual start of production date from their sources.

First, here’s what Producer Bryan Burk told Collider:

“We’re progressing on a schedule to hopefully begin next year, or the beginning of next year,” says Burk, “and the location is still kind of floating around in the air, all depending on script and a whole bunch of other issues. As I just said, everything is kind of a free-flowing thing, and when we feel like the story level on this script and everything is really coming together and schedules are all working and pieces line up, we prowl ahead, and Star Wars will be no different.”

Now, the actual news, according to their sources, LR is reporting that the first day of principal photography is January 21st 2014.

That’s the day after Martin Luther King Day, which makes us wonder if at least some of the filming will take place in the US as JJ Abrams was apparently pushing for.

Additionally, they are reporting on that the reason the film is being pushed back from May to Christmas of 2015 is because they are just that far behind schedule.

I’m ok with the wait. I’d rather wait for a good Star Wars film than deal with another crap fest.
