Star Wars Rebels has been an amazing experience. It’s provided us with an excellent Star Wars story fills in a lot of the blanks for fans between the events of The Clone Wars and A New Hope. Last year, show runner Dave Filloni took to Star Wars Celebration in Orlando to announce that this would be the final season for Phoenix Squadron. While this was a blow to many, it also meant the promise of closure on the stories of Ezra Bridger, Kanan, Sabine Wren, and Chopper (we already know that Hera is still kicking around at least as far as the Battle of Endor). While they are keeping a lot of details under wraps, one thing they revealed in the trailer is that Ian McDiarmid would be showing up in at least one episode for a confrontation between Ezra and Emperor Palpatine.
