While there are some mixed opinions on the upcoming Star Wars: Resistance series from Dave Filoni and Lucasfilm, there’s still a lot of excitement about the show and how it fits into larger canon. Up till now, we’ve heard that the show would take place shortly before the events of The Force Awakens and would feature Episode VII characters including Poe Demeron, Captain Phasma, and General Leia Organa. Thanks to some sleuthing by one curious fan, we now know even more about where the new show fits into the franchise.
Someone on Reddit started exploring the code for the show’s website and found the following meta description:
“Set about six months before The Force Awakens, Star Wars Resistance tells the story of Kazuda Xiono, a young pilot recruited by the Resistance and tasked with a top-secret mission to spy on the growing threat of the First Order.”
If that’s the case, this raises the question of what the long-term plan is for the series. Will it be limited to just one or two seasons, or will the storyline continue and overlap with the events of Episode VII?
