Netflix is betting that the Duffer Bros are going to be able to capture lightning in a bottle with their second season season of Stranger Things. In fact, they are so sure that they’ve gone ahead and renewed them for another season. However, if you are hoping that your favorite 80’s retro horror mystery can go on forever, you are in for a gut punch. While we are definitely getting a season three, and probably a season 4, the Duffer Bros have stated that they don’t see the story going on beyond that point.

It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.
