If you needed more “data” before deciding if you should check out season 4 of the CW’s Supergirl, this should be all you need. The network recently announced that they were bringing in Smallville alum, Sam Witwer to play the role of Agent Liberty. Now, they have announced that Star Trek: The Next Generation star, Brent Spiner would also be joining up for a recurring role.
According to Deadline, Spiner will play the: “adept and politically minded” Vice President Baker, who “steps up in a big way when his country needs him most.”
As you may recall from previous seasons, it has already been revealed that the current US President (played by Linda Carter), is herself secretly an alien. This will also probably mean that we’ll get at least a cameo of Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart), who transitioned out of a series regular spot as her character left to work for the President.
Season 4 of Supergirl will air this fall on Sunday, October 14, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
