One of the biggest mysteries in Hollywood for the last couple of months is who is taking on the mantle of Superman in James Gunn’s Superman Legacy? Well, we not only have an answer for that question, but we also know who is playing Lois Lane. David Corenswet will play Superman/ Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan is set to star as Lois Lane.

Corenswet is best known for his role in 2022’s Pearl, but he is slated to be part of next year’s long-awaited Twister sequel, Twisters. Meanwhile, Brosnahan just wrapped up an excellent five-season run on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel where her fast-talking character may have been part of the reason she was picked to play the hardest-hitting reporter in Metropolis.

News broke via several outlets earlier this evening, but it was quickly verified by Gunn on Twitter.

Synopsis:

“Superman: Legacy tells the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”
