Netflix just dropped the first full trailer for their DC comics adaptation of Sweet Tooth starring Christian Convery (Gus), Nonso Anozie (Tommy Jepperd), Adeel Akhtar (Dr. Aditya Singh), Aliza Vellani (Rani Singh), Stefania LaVie Owen (Bear), Dania Ramirez (Aimee Eden), Neil Sandilands (General Abbot), Will Forte (Father), and James Brolin (Narrator). The new footage sets up an exciting post-apocalyptic epic about finding hope in the face of adversity.
We’ve never read Sweet Tooth, but the mark of a good adaptation trailer for us is that now we want to, but we aren’t sure if we should wait until after we see the series. The good news is that the wait won’t be long. The Susan Downey and Robert Downey Jr produced series will drop its first 8-episode season on the streamer June 4th.
Based on the beloved DC Comic, and Executive Produced by Susan Downey & Robert Downey Jr., Sweet Tooth is a post-apocalyptic fairytale about a hybrid deer-boy and a wandering loner who embark on an extraordinary adventure. All episodes of Sweet Tooth premiere June 4th, 2021, only on Netflix.
