Syfy And Hulu Acquire Rights To Air ‘Primeval: New World’

It has been over a year since we’ve seen any new episodes of Primeval. This might be a spin-off, but I’m still really excited to see that we’ll be getting it in the US. Fans will be able to watch the show on Syfy and Hulu sometime in 2013.

Primeval: New World looks like it picks up where the British series ends. They even appear to have brought along Andrew Lee Potts as Connor Temple for a few episodes to help make the transition.

SyFy fans will be very familair with the cast of the 13 episode first season:
Niall Matter (Eureka)
Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries)
Danny Rahim (Young James Herriot)
The show is also bring produced by:
Martin Wood (Sanctuary) and Gillian Horvath (Sanctuary).

The Spin-off was created by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens (Star Trek: Enterprise)… but don’t hold that against them.

Each week, the team of animal experts and scientists will investigate paranormal events, while battling both prehistoric and futuristic creatures.

Here’s the latest trailer:
