Man of Steel was a film that had a few issues. For me, one of them was the overblown depiction of Krypton as some hyper techno meets Pandora planet. It looks like I’m in the minority with those sentiments because SyFy is now officially working on a Krypton Series.
They are working on the show with screenwriter, David Goyer and the goal would be to tell the story of Superman’s Grandfather “as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest superhero ever known.”
The show is currently being described as in the same vein as Gotham… because they need people to get excited about it and the only way to get someone excited about a Superman spin-off is to compare it with Batman.
