Last month, we had a small announcement about Thor: Ragnarok/ What We Do In The Shadows director, Taika Waititi’s new film – Jojo Rabbit. The movie tells the tale of a German boy during WWII who, in the absence of his father, creates an imaginary friend based on Hitler. Playing the role of Hitler in the film is none other than Taika Waititi himself.
Along with a unique story, the show is boasting a cast that should get the film plenty of attention. Playing the role of the boy is newcomer actor – Roman Griffin Davis, but he’s joined by Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell, Rebel Wilson, and Thomasin McKenzie.
In a new press release about the film, Waititi pretty much establishes what he’s planning for the tone of the story:
“I’m stoked to begin shooting my anti-war satire. We’ve assembled an incredible cast and I couldn’t be more excited to finally ridicule Nazis and their beliefs. This film is going to piss off a lot of racists and that makes me very happy.”
