Fans are excited that the Arrowverse is about to be introduced to Ruby Rose as Batwoman, but the question we all have is – Where the hell is Batman? Well, according to Caroline Dries, one of the producers of the Elseworld’s crossover as well as the executive-producer of the upcoming the Batwoman standalone series, he’s nowhere to be found.
“Our approach is: What does Gotham look like after the Batman has been gone for three years? So if you have the law and order, protector, and hope gone, what happens as a result? Some people are thriving in his absence because now they can start to do their own thing without the oversight. A lot of other people are suffering and they’re losing hope, and the city itself and infrastructure is falling apart. So it’s not a happy place. Our guys walk into a grimy, scary Gotham.”
Does this mean that we’ll see a world even darker than last year’s Earth X event? We’ll know when Elsowrlds hits The CW starting Sunday, December 9 with Flash, Green Arrow, and Supergirl.
