Legendary Pictures has hired David Goyer to pen the script for the new “Godzilla” movie. I’m sure many of you are wondering what the big deal is? Well for those not familiar with his work, Goyer was responsible for writing smash hits such as “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight,” “Man of Steel” and the upcoming “The Dark Knight Rises.”
A new “Godzilla” movie has been in the works for quite sometime, and this news represents tremendous process, as we haven’t had much of an update since last years when Legendary Pictures producer Brian Rogers mentioned that the new film will be darker, gritter and more realistic. Perhaps a cross between “Cloverfield” and “The Dark Knight.” As of today, however, nothing is known about the script, but we can tell you that it’ll be about a giant radioactive lizard that will terrorize and destroy a big city.
We’ll have more on this as it develops.
