It’s been 19 years since The Fast and The Furious taught people all over the world the real meaning of Family. With Fast 9 in the can and waiting for a safe time to be released on the big screen, we are now learning that one of the world’s most profitable franchises has set their ending.
We don’t know all the details, but the FF franchise will come to an end with the 11th film in the series. That means’ we’ve got two more to go after Fast 9. We also know that Justin Lin will helm both of the films and there’s a pretty safe bet that we are going to get a larger story that is set over the two films. Finally, we know that the final films will star Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sung Kang. Not mentioned in the announcement are Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. Johnson and Diesel reportedly had such a bad relationship that they did not appear on set together during Fate of The Furious. Still, it would be hard to imagine a world in which some extra money can’t soothe a couple of egos.
