The American reboot of The Grudge is getting a reboot. This isn’t really a surprise, given that the film is being produced by Sam Raimi. After all, he also made the 2004 reboot of the original Korean horror film Ju-On as well as the 2006 Grudge 2. This holds with his tradition of remaking his own works. He similarly turned the sequel to Evil Dead into a de-facto reboot of the original film (but with a higher budget) and then he rebooted the film himself with a new version 2013.
In the new version of The Grudge, We get the same long-haired creeper from the original films, but with some new twists and a great looking cast that includes Jon Cho, Demian Bichir, Frankie Faison, and Betty Gilpin.
Producer Sam Raimi brings us a twisted new take of the horror classic. Directed by Nicolas Pesce, THE GRUDGE stars Andrea Riseborough, Demián Bichir, John Cho, Betty Gilpin with Lin Shaye and Jacki Weaver.
