Though this isn’t exactly a surprise to people who have been following the development of the Hobbit Films, New Line, MGM and Warner Bros (That is way too many studios for one movie license)has just officially announced the names of the Hobbit films and their release dates.
The first film will be called:
‘Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’
Luckily, it will be releasing on December 14, 2012 – a couple weeks before the end of the Mayan calendar and subsequent apocalypse.
The second film will be called:
‘The Hobbit: There and Back Again’
Sadly, this one won’t be released until December 13, 2013 – well after the scheduled end of the world.
