The Little Mermaid’s live-action adaptation is coming to theaters on the 26th of this month and if you were watching the MTV Movie Awards (was anyone actually watching it?), they released a new clip from the film featuring the song “Kiss the Girl.”
If there’s one thing we noticed about the clip, it’s that it feels like they’ve made it less than the original. We aren’t talking about the quality of the singing or anything like that. This is about the energy and the fun of the scene. Watch the clip below and then watch the one below it from the original film. It has been cued up to the same spot in the song.
