Production has wrapped on the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey as Ariel, Jonah-Hauer King as Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, and Awkwafina as Scuttle. To celebrate the event, Bailey took to social media to release the first official image of herself as the iconic Disney Princess along with this message:
“And just like that..that’s a wrap,” the actress captioned her post. “After auditioning for this film when i was 18 just about to turn 19, to now finishing filming through a pandemic when i turned 21 ..we have finally made it… Feel so grateful to have experienced this film in all of its glory..”
