We are just hours away from the launch of Disney+ and the release of the world’s first live-action Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian. Tonight, Disney is going the extra mile on every media platform they control to make sure you know what’s coming. If you were just watching Monday Night Football, you were treated to a clip from the first episode of The Mandalorian along with a mini-trailer featuring a lot of new footage. As divided as fans seem to be on The Rise of Skywalker, it looks like nearly everyone is in agreement that The Mandalorian looks bad-ass.
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Launching on November 12, 2019, Disney+ will be the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more, together, for the first time. Alongside unprecedented access to Disney’s incredible library of film and television entertainment, the service will also be the exclusive streaming home for films released by The Walt Disney Studios in 2019 and beyond, including “Captain Marvel,” “Avengers: Endgame,” “Aladdin,” “Toy Story 4,” “The Lion King,” “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil,” “Frozen 2,”and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” The service will launch in select geographic territories, including U.S., Canada, and The Netherlands, followed shortly by Australia and New Zealand, with the expectation to be available in most major markets within the first two-years.
