Battlestar Galactica star, Katee Sackhoff has been entertaining fans as Bo Katan, leader of the Mandalorians on both Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels for years. Now, Slashfilm is reporting that the actress will be following her character into the live-action realm as she portrays Bo Katan in season 2 of the Disney+ series, The Mandalorian.
When we last saw Bo Katan in Rebels, Sabine Wren was handing her the Dark Saber and mantle of the leader of the Mandalorians. Chronologically, that was around 10ish years before Moff Gideon appeared in The Mandalorian with it the saber in his hands. Does this mean that we’ll see Sackoff appear in a flashback where Gideon recalls killing her and taking the Dark Saber? Or, are we looking at a new story where Bo Katan is trying to get it back from him? There’s also the long-standing fan theory that armorer featured in season 1 is actually Bo Katan in disguise. We’ll find out one way or the other when Season 2 hits Disney+ in October of this year.
