Earlier today we reported that the first trailer for The Matrix: Resurrections was heading our way later this week. Now we know that it will be dropping on Thursday. The good news is that we get a sneak peek with a first trailer that has just dropped on social media and on WhatistheMatrix.com.
The teaser doesn’t give us much, but it does give us our first official look at Keanu Reeves as Neo and the first look ever of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as a young Morpheus.
You can check out the teaser for the teaser below, but the official teaser with footage can only been seen when you got to WhatistheMatrix.com.
The Matrix: Resurrections stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jada Pinkett Smith, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick and Jonathan Groff. The film is slated for simultaneous release in both theaters and on HBO Max on December 22, 2021. However, with the success of Shang-Chi, there’s a good chance we may see Warner Bros opt for a 45-day theatrical exclusive window.
