It has been a week since they released the first poster and now we are finally getting our first chance to see the Muppets on the big screen again. If you were one of the millions who went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides over the weekend than you’ve already seen this. Otherwise, you are in for a treat.
Disney was very clever in making the trailer a joke trailer for a fictional romantic comedy starring Jason Segel called “Green with Envy”. Around half we through the Muppets make their entrance and it becomes the first time they have been on the big screen in way too long!
It looks like they’ve gone after the classic feel of the Muppets in a big way. Huge musical numbers, plenty of prat falls and talking directly to the camera. I’m really hoping that this movie is great. The Muppets deserve to have a great movie after so much garbage has come out recently!
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
