Over the course of five seasons in the late 70’s and early 80’s, Charlie’s Angels were played by a bevy of actresses that included: Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack, Tanya Roberts. When the show was rebooted as a movie franchise in the 1990’s, it featured Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, and Drew Barrymore. It’s been long enough that studio execs have decided to pull the property off the shelf once again and the newest Angels have just been announced.
The newest film will be directed by Elizebeth Banks and will feature a team that is comprised of Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska. Along with directing the film, Banks will be filling the role of Bosley. In the last film franchise, the role was played by Bill Murray.
