The Simpsons/ Star Wars Animated Short Headed To Disney+ For May The 4th

The Simpsons have taken more than a few potshots at Disney, both before and after the company purchased FOX, turning Maggie, Lisa, and Marge into Disney Princesses. Now the two creative teams are coming together for the first time to celebrate Star Wars Day. Tomorrow, on May 4th, Disney+ will debut a new Star Wars-themed Simpsons animated short titled: “The Force Awakens From Its Nap.”

Here’s the poster and the official synopsis:

“In a daycare far, far away… but still in Springfield, Maggie is on an epic quest for her stolen pacifier. Her adventure brings her face-to-face with young Padawans, Sith Lords, familiar droids, Rebel scum, and an ultimate battle against the dark side, in this original short celebrating the Star Wars galaxy.”

Along with the new Simpsons special, Star Wars fans can also look forward to The 70-minute premiere of The Bad Batch, the latest animated series from the stories of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Additionally, Star Wars Biomes and Star Wars Vehicle Flythroughs will premiere on the streaming network, giving viewers virtual tours of the planets Hoth and Tatooine, as well as an in-depth look at both the Millennium Falcon and an Imperial Star Destroyer.
