The first trailer is out for the new Spongebob movie, Sponge On The Run, and we aren’t sure if we’re more caught off-guard by the fact that it has Keanu Reeves as a talking Tumbleweed or the fact that “this summer” now means next May.
In the new film, Spongebob and Gary take off on a grand adventure to find Gary the snail who seems to have been snail-napped. The ensuing hijinx takes us both above and below sea-level on a new CGI adventure that is still a little hard to get used to, but still keeps to the spirit of the traditional animation.
