Kevin Spacey, Jameson Whiskey and Trigger Street Productions have teamed up to create an excellent short film about a man who uses his ventriloquist dummy as a crutch for human communication. The film is quite touching. I’m not exactly sure why Jameson Whiskey is involved at all, but I’m glad to see companies getting involved more in the arts.
For me, this film was reminiscent of The Beaver, starring Mel Gibson. I still feel like that was a really underrated film that people just didn’t see because of Mel Gibson’s bad PR.
Take a few minutes and check the film out. This guy may use his dummy as a conduit to the real world, but are we any less guilty with our texting and emails instead of having real conversations?
