AMC’s The Walking Dead pissed off just about everyone who watched the season finale last Sunday. If you haven’t watched it yet, then you probably should stop reading as I guess these casting announcements count as spoilers.
OK, now that the people who haven’t seen the show are out of the way, man… that episode was all kinda of weak. Not only was that battle a complete tease, but there was no resolution on the Governor story line. That brings us to the following announcements.
AMC has announced that David Morrissey (The Governor) will be a series regular next season. I’m not really feeling how this is a good idea, but I guess we’ll see how it all works out.
Better news is that Chad Coleman (Tyreese), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), and Emily Kinney (Beth) have all been promoted to series regulars as well. So, at least we’ll have the Tyrese story to look forward to and they can use Beth to wrangle Carl back from having gone so dark, so fast.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
