General Hospital actor, Robert Palmer Watkins is making the move from soap opera to zombie coming of age story as his role is expanded from a guest spot to recurring in season 2 according to a new report from Deadline.
We first met Watkins’ character, Lieutenant Frank Newton The Walking Dead: World Beyond, the story of a group of teens who grew up after the zombie apocalypse and who are setting out for an adventure to find themselves and their dad whom they believe is in danger from the new governing authority.
There’s no word on how big a role he’ll play in the new season of the show. While he has been upgraded to recurring cast, he has not been upgraded to main cast. We aren’t quite sure when the 10-episode season 2 of the series will hit AMC, but it should be coming our way later this year.
