Along with the Witcher season 2 trailer, today’s Witchercon also landed us our first look at the upcoming Witcher anime , The Witcher: Nightmare of The Wolf. Set for release on August 23, 2021, the anime adventure should be a good appetizer to hold fans over until the release of the live action show’s second season in December.
Unlike the main series, which focuses on Geralt of Rivia, Nightmare will focus on his mentor, Vesemir. According to the release at Witchercon, “The anime film tells the story of Vesemir, a swashbuckling young witcher who escaped a life of poverty to slay monsters for coin…” Vesemir is being voiced by Killing Eve star, Kim Bodnia.
