Nothing adds that little bit of extra realism to a horror movie like having the events in the film happen on the day that the film is released… especially when that movie is about the end of the world. The movie, 11-11-11, is just that.
AS the trailer says, “11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month, the 11th gate of Heaven will open up and an otherworldly entity will enter the earthly realm for 49 minutes.” Lucky for them the movie release dates line up with their title, otherwise they’d be kinda screwed.
If you liked the Saw movies, you are in for a treat with this movie because the director, Darren Lynn Bousman directed 4 of them. Also, something that make me happy as an older school horror fan, this movie relies a lot more on practical effects and make up than CGI.
