For those of you who were wondering when we’d be seeing the next chapter of the rebels from Rogue One, you can stop wondering. It’s not going to happen. Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy told Empire Magazine that the studio has no plans to pursue a sequel to the film.
Having not seen the film, I’d have to guess that most, if not all of the cast is going to die in the first movie. That, and we’ve been told a dozen times that Rogue One ends around fifteen minutes before the opening of A New Hope.
With that said, it doesn’t mean that it’ll be the last we see of whoever survives the film. They could pop up in the comics, cartoons, novels or even future video games. If they are popular enough, you know that Disney isn’t going to leave any money on the floor.
Rogue One opens December 16th and stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Alan Tudyk, and Riz Ahmed. Did you get your tickets?
