Marvel Studios has hired Robert Rodat (Saving Private Ryan) to rewrite the script for “Thor 2,” which will be directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones).
With the Disney hoping to release in November of 2013, the film is set to go into into production this year. The film has since suffered some delays with the hiring and firing of former director Patty Jenkins, but all seems to be on track.
There’s no word on the plot of “Thor 2,” but word has it, it will divulge more into the mystical realms of Asgard rather than Midgard (Earth).
What is known however, is that Loki will be returning for “Thor 2.” Actor Tom Hiddleston who played the trickster brother of Thor in the original film has stated that filming on “Thor 2” begins in London this summer.
“Thor 2” is set to release November 15th, 2013 and, most of the original cast from the first film is expected to reprise their roles.
