From the set of the new Thor film, Thor: Love and Thunder, we are now getting our first look at Christian Bale as Gorr The God Butcher on set thanks to The Daily Mail. If you aren’t familiar with Gorr, he is a man who was made to suffer so greatly that he lost faith in the existence of gods. When he then found out that they were real, but were letting people suffer to the extent that they were, he swore to kill them all. In the comics, Gorr’s interactions with Thor were the catalyst for him becoming unworthy to wield Mjolnir for a time. Given that Natalie Portman is back as Jane Foster, and that Foster is who picks up the handle and the mantle while Thor is unable, gives us a good idea of the story that Taika Waititi and Chris Hemsworth have planned for us in the new film.
