Tim Robbins is set to join the cast of WB’s highly anticipated “Green Lantern” as Senator Hammond, the proud to be father of the movie’s villain, Dr. Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard).
Like all great fathers, Robbins will belittle and criticize his son until he literally flips out and becomes hell bent on destroying the world. I guess that’s where Dr. Hammond will come in with his psychic powers and ridiculously large head. When you have daddy issues as a daughter you end up working the pole. When you have father issues as a son, you become a super villain.
Martin Campbell’s “Green Lantern” will star Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, with Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, his one and only. “Green Lantern” is not slated to hit theaters until June 17, 2011.
