Amazon Prime announced that they’d be moving forward with a Jack Reacher TV series a while back and today we found out who would be filling the shoes that were last inhabited by Tom Cruise. Fans of the DC series Titans, as well as the classic CW series Smallville will be happy to hear that Allan Ritchson will be playing the titular character in the show based on Lee Child’s bestselling novels.
The first season of the series is set to be based on Child’s first Reacher novel, The Killing Floor. One thing that is sure to make fans happy is that Ritchson is much closer to the character described in the book from a physical perspective. In the novels, Reacher is described as being 6’4″ and many fans took offense to the casting of the 5’7″ Cruise. Now they can rejoice in the casting of a 6’4″, 235 lbs Ritchson.
