Tracy Jordan Joins Remake Of Classic 2007 Film

Ya that’s right. The remake insanity has gotten so bad that they are now redoing films that saw theatrical releases only 2 years ago. What’s worse, it was a great film that really shouldn’t be touched. The movie in question is Death at a Funeral. The original was directed by Frank Oz and featured a great ensemble cast that include Alan Tudyk (Serenity/ Firefly) and Peter Dinklage (The Station Agent).

The new film, which is being directed by Neil LaBute is being done as a Chris Rock vehicle. If the film has a tone even remotely similar to the original, this is just beyond stupid.

Joining him in the cast are: Martin Lawrence, Tracy Morgan have joined, Loretta Devine, Ron Glass, Danny Glover, Regina Hall, James Marsden, Zoe Saldana and Columbus Short.

Allegedly the plot will be exactly the same as the original. There’s just no way this can be a good movie.

Daniel is a decent young man, married to Jane, still living at his father’s home. When his father dies, it is up to him to organize his funeral. On this painful morning, the suitable grave expression on his face, Daniel is ready to welcome his father’s friends and relatives.
