An accident this morning on the set of the Walt Disney Production of The Lone Ranger, starring Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp has resulted in the death of a crew member this afternoon.
According to Deadline, the crew member was setting up for an under water scene. The film was not shooting when the incident occurred and it is being reported that it was either a drowning or a heart attack.
Here’s the official word from the production:
“We regretfully confirm that a Lone Ranger crew member has passed away after being taken to a local hospital. Our hearts and thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues at this time, and our full support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this terrible event.”
