Set to debut at C2E2 in April, “Comic Book Literacy” is a new independent documentary film aiming to explore and challenge the negative perception of the sequential arts media particularly surrounding its education value. The folks behind this project have released a new trailer which you can check out below.
Here’s CBL’s official synopsis:
“Comic Book Literacy” emphasizes the positive attributes of a misunderstood medium. The film features appearances by comic book writers and artists such as Paul Dini, Scott McCloud, Terry Moore, Joe Quesada, Jim Salicrup, Gail Simone and Art Spigeleman as well as historians and scholars who discuss the role comics play in education in both an historical and contemporary context.
For literacy, educators, fans of comic books and those with children, this is a documentary defiantly worth checking out.
