Last year, we saw a great trailer for an upcoming animated film created by Lord and Miller, the minds behind Spider-Man, Into The Spider-Verse. The film, called, Connected, was the story of a family on a cross country road trip to drop their oldest daughter off at college when the robot uprising happens. It was a great trailer and we were looking forward to the movie, but it just sort of disappeared… Thanks COVID.
Well, like magic, the film is back, albeit with a new name and a new distribution platform. Now going by the name The Mitchells vs The Machines (which is honestly a much better choice from an SEO perspective), the movie has landed at Netflix where it will see release later this year.
Saving the world can be a trip. Watch the official trailer for #TheMitchellsvsTheMachines (formerly Connected), from the minds behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Arriving on Netflix this year.
The Mitchells vs. The Machines (formerly Connected) is an original animated comedy about an everyday family’s struggle to relate while technology rises up around the world! When Katie Mitchell (voiced by Abbi Jacobson), a creative outsider, is accepted into the film school of her dreams, her plans to meet “her people” at college are upended when her nature-loving dad Rick (voiced by Danny McBride) determines the whole family should drive Katie to school together and bond as a family one last time.
