BBC America has released the first trailer for the fifth season of “Doctor Who” which will star newcomer Matt Smith.
Smith will debut as the new Doctor alongside also new traveling companion, Amy Pond, played by Karen Gillan. Together they will explore sixteenth century Venice, France during the 1890s and the United Kingdom in the far future, now an entire nation floating in space.
The show premieres on April 17, 2010 as an extended version with limited commercial interruption. Meanwhile, you can wet your appetite by checking out the awesome trailer below. As a bonus, we’ve also included the new Dr. Who one sheet.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
