‘Transformers: Dark Of The Moon’ Reuses Action Scene From ‘The Island’

“Transformers: Dark of the Moon” crushed the domestic box office this weekend ($181.1 million!), but thanks to one eagle eye YouTuber, Michael Bay may have some explaining to do for having been caught plagiarizing… himself?

Actually, that’s not true. Despite having massive budgets to work with, Michael Bay has never been shy when it comes to saving a few bucks and reusing footage from past films.

It appears he’s done it again in the latest installment of the mega popular Transformers franchise, as he reuses an action scene from the 2005 film “The Island.” I suppose it can be argued that everything simply looks better with Transformers in them, and without this reuse we probably wouldn’t have gotten all the cool new CGI that was in DOTM.
