‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ Casts Ron Perlman As The Voice of Optimus Primal

The 7th Transformers film has just added a big name to its cast, and while we won’t see his iconic face on screen, Ron Perlman’s voice will be booming out of the robotic vocal chords of Optimus Primal. He’s joining the original G1 voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen who is also set to reprise his role for the new film.

While not much is known about the upcoming movie, we do know that the film will be a sort of sequel to the Bumblebee movie and the leadership origin tale for Optimus Prime. We also know that the new film will be set in the 90’s in Brooklyn with some of the film taking place in south America. Along with the Autobots and Decepticons, Rise of the Beasts will introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons.
