Earlier today, THR announced that they’d just found out that Disney has so much faith in “Tron Legacy” that they’ve already started work on a sequel! Disney has retained Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, the writers of “Tron Legacy” and also writers/producers on “Lost” to begin work penning the next chapter in the epic.
There’s no details on the film as of right now, but according to insiders, they are looking to stretch the new film into a Trilogy.
There’s currently no deal in place with the director of the current film or the cast, but once the first week’s box office numbers roll in, I’m sure that will be taken care of.
“Tron Legacy” starring Academy-Award Winner Jeff Bridges, Garett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde and Michael Sheen comes out December 17th, 2010.
