Summit Entertainment just announced that David Slade will direct “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” the announcement came this afternoon after months of speculation that even included Drew Barrymore. Slade has to get his ducks in a row because the scheduled release date of June 30, 2010, is a lot closer than it seems.
the second film in the series, New Moon, is currently filming with its main characters: Robert Pattinson as Edward, Kristen Stewart as Bella and Taylor Lautner as Jacob, and is scheduled for a November 20th release.
In Eclipse, Bella is forced to finally choose between Edward and Jacob.
Fan’s concerned with how Slade will handle the The sharp toothed saga need not worry. He was the man behind the camera on 2007’s “30 Days of Night.”
