With “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” dominating the box office over the Thanksgiving four-day holiday weekend, it ended its second weekend run at the box office with over $230 million domestically while still holding on to the number one spot at the US box office for a second week in a row.

Hoping to capitalize on the film franchise’s momentum, Summit Entertainment is working on launching a TV spin-off next year.

Reports suggest that Summit Entertainment executives are in negotiations with Robert Pattinson to bring his character, Edward Cullen, to the small screen.

Robert Pattinson stands to net $1.5 million per episode if reports about his involvement with a Twilight spin-off TV series are true.
