This summer, Universal Studios Japan is opening-up their first video game-themed land in Super Nintendo World. While most of the people reading this will probably never go there, this is just the first in a series of lands. There are also similar lands that are currently being developed for Universal Studios Orlando, Hollywood, and Singapore.
Today, the theme park released a video trailer for the experience. While it seems completely devoid of anything you’ll actually experience while inside it, it does tease an environment that puts you inside Nintendo video games with a heavy emphasis on the worlds’ of Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart.
At a new presentation for the park, reps revealed that guests will be treated to an in-game experience thanks to wrist bands that let them interact with their surroundings, gather digital coins, and compete against other guests.
